Entryway Breakdown
Oh, this room was so satisfying to bring to life! First, because it was an easier project to tackle since it was our entryway. Secondly, because it makes such an enormous impact visually when you first walk into our house. The biggest "bang for your buck" room in our house!
This room had several elements that were fairly easy to execute. The first step was painting everything extra white - the wainscoting, the ceiling, the molding, all of the doors, and then priming over the stripped walls so they were ready for wallcovering. The wall mural we installed is this amazing mural from The Mural Source (https://themuralsource.com/maysong/). This was the largest expense in the room, but oh my goodness, it makes such a difference! I just love all the colors, and the plant and bird motif. They give such life to the space. The birds on the wallpaper just bring a smile to my face everyday.
DURING:
Next, I added this beautiful gold leaf light fixture from Overstock. It exudes the prettiest light pattern when the lights are on, reflecting on the ceiling and it looks way more expensive than $200.
Lastly, I added an antique red runner to the space. One, because this is a high traffic area so I wanted something red to hide the dirt, and two, because I love the red pop of color and I felt that the space could use additional some hues.
FINAL LOOK:
And, that was it! High impact with a few key elements to tie the entryway together.
